    Where do I get started?

    You can create a new Squarespace site trial from our site here. Our 14 day trial allows you to evaluate our platform to find out if Squarespace is right for you.

    Where do I go to get help?

    Our Squarespace Help Center is a great place to get started with getting help with your site. Additionally, you can view and post on our Community Answers site, which is our peer-to-peer forum for questions. If you are unable to find an answer to your questions, you can email 24/7 from directly within your site, or by using the form here. We also have Live Chat available from 11AM to 7PM on Mondays through Fridays. Live Chat is available from any page on our help site.

    How do I login to my site?

    You can login to your site using the Login button on our site here, or by accessing your site URL directly. For more information on logging in to your site, you can use this guide here.

    How do I map a custom domain to my site?

    If you have a custom domain from a third-party provider, you can use the steps in this guide here to map your domain using a CNAME and an A record. Additionally, if you are using a yearly or two year billing with your Squarespace site, you can a register a free custom domain to your site using the steps here.

    Can I set up an email address with my custom domain?

    Sure! While Squarespace does not provide email directly, you can set this up within your domain provider if you purchased your domain through a third-party, or by using a third-party service like Google Apps or Zoho Mail. We have instructions on how this can be set up for a Squarespace-managed domain here.

    Can I import content from my old site?

    Squarespace 6 currently allows for importing site content from Squarespace 5, as well as from WordPress, Blogger, and Tumblr. If you are selling items on your site, you can import items to use with our Commerce platform from Shopify or Big Cartel.

    What is a Content Block? How do I add content to my site?

    Content blocks are the foundation of your site and allow you to add text, images, videos, maps and other content to your site. Content blocks can be added to pages and blog posts, as well as sidebars, headers and footers where supported by our Squarespace templates.     How do I add images?

    Images can be added to a page or blog post individually using an Image Block, or by using a Gallery Block to add groups of images. Additionally, images can be added to a Gallery page if this is supported by your template.

    How do I make style changes to my site?

    Style changes can be made to your site using our Style editor. View our guide here for more information on accessing and using the Style editor. Additionally, each template contains its own set of unique options within the Style editor. You can switch templates at any time using the steps here.

    Can I add custom code to my site?

    Yes — Custom HTML, CSS or Javascript can be added to your site. For more information on this, view our guide here. As a note, use of custom code is an advanced modification and Squarespace does not provide support for custom code modifications.

    Will my site be visible within search engines?

    Absolutely! Squarespace sites are optimized for search engines immediately from creation to include clean article links, proper tagging, XML sitemaps and valid XHTML code. You can use the suggestions here if you want to do more to increase your site’s visibility in search engines.

    Can I upload files?

    Files can be uploaded to your site for linking within your site, images and font files can be uploaded for use with custom CSS. Additionally, audio files can be used with for podcasting or listening for visitors. For more information regarding file upload and management, see our guide here.

    Can I connect my social networking accounts?

    You can connect accounts like Facebook, Twitter or Instagram to your site to allow pushing blog content or displaying content on your site. Our guide for connecting social accounts here is the place to start with connecting your site with your social networks.

    Can I sell products within my site?

    Yes! Our Commerce solution allows you to sell products on your site. We have a collection of guides and FAQs to help you get started with setting up your store here.

    How do I publish my site?

    Your Squarespace site is available on the internet from the moment that you create your trial. While your site is in trial mode, a five letter CAPTCHA is required for site access. Once you upgrade your site trial, this CAPTCHA is removed.

    How do I create more than one site?

    Each Squarespace site will need to be created and upgraded separately. However, if you have created one site and would like to create another, you can visit our site and create a new site using the email address and password that you used for your site to easily access these sites.
