    Is Wix Free?

    The Wix design platform is totally free for any user.

    We do have a premium offer for a small fee that enables our users to get more storage and bandwidth if they need it, the option to remove the Wix tags, and the option to connect their Wix design to their own domain name. You can find out more about it here. For the Wix Premium Learning Center, click here.

    If you don’t need any of these options then you can use Wix for free as much and as long as you like.

    How do I sign up?

    Please go to www.wix.com > click on “Sign Up” > add your details.

    After logging in, simply click on “Templates” and begin creating your site!

    *Please enter your new account information and log in > go to the Templates tab and choose a Wix template > click Edit to start your design.

    What kind of templates do you offer?

    The great thing about our templates is that you can customize any template so completely that it can end up being any kind of website! For example, you can choose a template from the “Design” category and create a website for Accounting Services!

    Browse through our templates on the Templates page of wix.com and choose any template that you like!

    How many websites can I create under my account?

    You can create as many sites as you like under one account!

    Please note that a Premium upgrade is only valid for one site. If you wish to have two websites with different domain names you will need to upgrade two different sites.

    Can I create a multi-language site?

    Sure! Wix now offers some multi-lingual templates, feel free to use them:

    They are set up with English as the primary language and Spanish or Portuguese as the secondary language but you can change this manually. Please note that this is an advanced feature.

    Editing Your Site

    How do I edit my website?

    Please login to your account -> click on “My Account” -> You will see all of your sites there!

    If you want to edit it- Please click on the blue “Manage & Edit Site” -> click on “Edit Site”.

    If you want to open/view it -> Please click on the blue “Manage & Edit Site” -> click on “View Site” under “Site Actions” on the right side.

    Please note: If you can’t find your site in the “My Account” page, the reason might be that you created more than one account. Please try to remember if you have registered more than once. If you can not remember, please address this issue to support by providing the URLs of your sites and alternative email addresses so that we can assist you in identifying other accounts.

    How do I upload an external website / template to Wix?

    You can display another Website inside Wix!

    Please note: Wix doesn’t support the option of importing files such as external templates to use them along side the Wix features. You may upload, files, pictures, music, and even video. But no other web building features.

    You can edit any Wix template available on Wix Templates page.

    Can I rebuild my site?

    You can simply create a new site- You can use another template or start from scratch.
    You can create as many sites as you like! To move your premium status to another Wix site, simply enter your “manage premium” system via “my account”. You can find more information here.

    *Remember to change all the information under ‘settings’ such as SEO, domain URL, etc.

    Can I change between templates inside an account / a site?

    It is not possible to switch templates inside a site, or combine Wix templates, you are only able to edit one at a time. If you wish to choose a different template, simply create a new site.

    After you create the new site you can easily move your premium status to it! Simply enter your “manage premium” system via “My Account”.
    Please note that you will have to attach your domain to your updated site. You can do it via the Domain Manager when clicking on “Manage Premium”.

    Can I edit my site after publishing it?

    Yes! You can edit/update your site anytime, even after it’s published!

    Simply enter your editor > edit it > click “Publish” to save your changes on your live site.

    Your Wix Site will automatically update once you click Publish.

    How do I connect an email account?

    You can now purchase personalized emails from Google Apps directly from Wix! For detailed instructions click here.

    If you are having problems with your current Email, please ask your Email host for the MX records. You can find step-by-step instructions here.

    Can’t login / forgot password

    Please check out this page for instructions in case:

    – you forgot your password
    – you want to update/ change your password.
    – you forgot the e-mail used to register the account.

    Please note- If you are having problems with resetting your password, please follow these steps:

    1. Clear cache
    2. Close the Browser and open it again.
    3. Go back to the email we sent.
    4. Click the link.
    5. Click LOAD ANYWAY on the security warning that pops up.

    If you use Firefox or Chrome and you let your browser save your passwords, you can try to retrieve your login details.
    For Firefox, go to Options –> Security –> Saved Passwords.
    For Chrome, go to options –> Personal Stuff –> Manage Saved Passwords.

    How do I delete my account?

    If your decision to cancel your account is due to one of the following reasons, we would like to assist you in troubleshooting the problem:

    If you would like to delete your Free account, please add your details here.

    If you would still like to cancel and have purchased Premium packages, please cancel your Premium packages first and then add your details in the link above. To cancel your packages, go to My Account > Manage Premium > Billing & Payment > Manage > click Cancel next to “Next payment” . You can find more information here.
